Dog Grooming in South VTVacation with ease! If you’re looking for Dog boarding in Southern VT, we’re the answer. We provide your dog a fun and comfortable home away from home while you’re away. Dogs enjoy all-day open play in our indoor-outdoor environment with limited kennel time.

Wagmore Kennels is staffed overnights with our kennel boarding manager living on premises so your pup is NEVER alone. Our boarding manager does nightly checks and all activity is camera recorded, and reviewed in the morning. Health checks are preformed and documented every morning to ensure a safe, healthy, and enjoyable stay for your pet.

Our kennel schedule is designed to offer more exercise and stimulation than many boarding kennels offer, but still includes scheduled rest times. Unlike many kennels, Wagmore is staffed 24×7 with staff residing on site.

Typical Daily Standard Boarding Schedule:

7 AM-  GOOD MORNING CAMPERS! Outside for potty and morning snuggles

7:30 AM- Chow time!

8 AM- Potty break and daycare group playtime!

11AM-1PM-  Quiet time at the kennel so no pickups or drop-offs during this time. We make every effort to keep the kennel quiet so the dogs who need it can get some uninterrupted rest, and so that our staff can take rotated breaks.

1-4 PM- Open play with the group

4 PM- Dogs are kenneled and awaiting supper time!

5:PM- Chow time!

6 PM- Potty breaks and some light exercise.

7-9 PM- Quiet time

Frequently Asked Questions

What vaccinations does my dog need to visit Wagmore?

We require up-to-date Bordetella (Canine Cough), Distemper and Rabies vaccinations. All dogs must be treated with a flea/tick treatment at least 48 hours in advance of their visit. It is YOUR responsibility as the pet owner to make sure we have updated vaccinations.

All vaccinations must be administered at least 2 weeks prior to your booking. For the safety of all Wagmore dogs, we reserve the right to cancel bookings on the day of check-in due to out-of-date vaccines.

Does my dog need to be evaluated before visiting Wagmore?

As Wagmore is an off-leash, open-play environment, we require a behavior evaluation for all new Wagmore dogs to ensure a friendly, playful demeanor. Most dogs pass with flying color! Dogs with signs of aggression, reactivity, dogs who bark excessively or who have severe separation anxiety will not be admitted. Evaluations are done on the first day of daycare or on the first day of boarding.

What should I bring for my dog's boarding reservation?

We strive to create an environment that feels just like home! Please bring your dog’s food, bed (if he/she sleeps on one at home), and any medications your dog needs. Please note that if your dog is on multiple medications there is a $5 per day charge for administering them. Please be sure to bring enough food for your dog’s reservation as switching up food brands will upset your dog’s digestive system. If we run out of food for your dog during his/her reservation or if you do not bring food for your dog’s reservation, we will provide food for $5 per meal.

Do you require my dog to be spayed/neutered?

Yes, for the safety of all Wagmore dogs, we require all dogs to be spayed or neutered. Intact dogs will often be singled out and picked on by dominant male and female dogs and a female may release pheromones when coming into heat that would cause conflict. To keep our play calm and fun and provide a happy and non-competitive environment, we cannot accept intact dogs (Unless in puppy daycare).

Can my puppy come to Wagmore?

We believe proper socialization with dogs is key for a puppy’s upbringing! Puppies 6 months old or older, spayed/neutered, and up to date with  Bordetella, Distemper, and Rabies vaccinations and are friendly with other dogs are welcome at Wagmore. Puppy daycare is available on Mondays for pups younger than 7 months.

What is your cancellation policy?

Non-holiday: We require 24 hour notice for boarding cancellation.  Holiday period boarding bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit.  Cancellations made inside of this time period are responsible for the payment of one night of boarding. Holiday periods are: November 28-December 1, December 24-January 1, January 18-20, February 15-17, July 2-5.

Holiday:  A 50% of the total booking deposit is required to secure a booking. If the booking is canceled with more than 24 hours’ notice, the deposit is fully refundable. If the booking is canceled within 24 hours of the arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable. (Holiday periods are 11/28-12/1, 12/24-1/1, 1/18-1/20, 2/15-2/27, 7/2-7/6)

When can I drop off/pick up my dog for her/his reservation?

You may drop off between 8-10 AM or 3-5 PM on the first day of your boarding reservation, however, for the comfort of your pet, drop-off for boarding must be 15 minutes before we close. We require this so your dog has time to get acclimated to Wagmore and have a potty break before getting cozy in his/her kennel. If drop-off is within 15 minutes before closing or beyond, a $20 fee will be added to the booking.

Pick up on check out day is by 10:00am. If you need late check out, we offer it for half day daycare change ($15/per dog).
